Chumpi es la palabra quechua para el marrón profundo, el color de la tierra fértil del Altiplano andino. Un chocolate intenso que no es neutro ni tímido: tiene carácter, profundidad y la calidez de los tonos tierra llevada a su expresión mas oscura y sofisticada. En baby alpaca, ese chocolate gana una textura visual cálida que ningún tejido sintético puede imitar.
El poncho es la prenda emblemática de los Andes, perfeccionada durante siglos por las comunidades alpaqueras del Perú. En baby alpaca certificada por la Asociación Internacional de la Alpaca (AIA), esa tradición alcanza su expresión mas refinada: una pieza de 570 g que abriga como ningún otro accesorio, con la suavidad de una fibra tres veces mas fina que el cachemire y completamente hipoalergénica.
Con acabado a mano por artesanos peruanos especializados en la tradición textil andina, cada pieza refleja el trabajo de generaciones dedicadas al arte del tejido en alpaca.
Como usarlo: El chocolate combina naturalmente con camel, crema, naranja y verde oliva. Como poncho, funciona tanto en un look casual de fin de semana como en uno semiformal sobre una camisa blanca o de lino.
Cuidado: Lavar a mano con agua fría y detergente suave para lana. No retorcer. Secar en plano.

🇪🇺 European Union (Germany, Italy, France, Spain, etc.)
Thanks to the Trade Agreement between Peru and the European Union , all our alpaca garments are eligible to enter with a 0% tariff .
What should you know?
- We issue an official declaration of origin included in the invoice.
- This allows customs authorities to eliminate tariffs .
- You will only pay your country's VAT upon delivery (19% in Germany, 22% in Italy, etc.).
- You don't need to complete any additional paperwork.

🇺🇸 United States
Personal imports of clothing from Peru to the U.S. do not pay tariffs if the value of the shipment is less than $800 USD , thanks to the de minimis rule .
What does this mean for you?
- If your purchase is less than $800 USD: you do not pay taxes or duties .
- If it is larger, you could pay a small tariff (around 10-12%) and/or local tax, depending on customs.
- We include an invoice and declaration of origin , which speeds up the process.

🇲🇽 Mexico
Peru and Mexico have a Free Trade Agreement that allows the import of alpaca garments with a 0% tariff .
What should you know?
- We issued the declaration of origin valid to take advantage of the trade agreement.
- Your package will be processed by Mexican customs, and the 16% VAT will be applied.
- For personal purchases under $50 USD (via courier), you may be exempt from all taxes.
- Larger shipments may be subject to random review .
🇨🇦 Canada
Canada has a Free Trade Agreement with Peru (CCFTA) that eliminates tariffs on originating products.
What should you know?
- We include a declaration of origin in your invoice, so you don't pay tariffs.
- You will be able to pay the local GST/HST (5-15%) depending on the province.
- Some low-value shipments don't pay anything.
- Customs procedures are usually quick and clear with textiles.
